Nursery Seedling Sowing: Early in the process, special attention is given to the nursery where chili seedlings are raised. This includes monitoring for any signs of pests or diseases that could affect the young plants.
Soil Water Testing Lab: We possess a facility for conducting water and soil analyses on all registered farms, ensuring that they meet our established standards. Additionally, we proactively check for the presence of harmful nematodes by sending samples to Bahauddin Zakariya University’s Plant Pathology Lab.
Land Preparation:Field sanitation is essential for maintaining a healthy and productive chili crop. These management measures were implemented for field sanitation, chili growers maintained a clean and disease-free environment for their crops, ultimately leading to healthier and higher-yielding chili plants.
Transplantation of Chili Seedlings: Planting and Spacing: Planting and spacing have been carried out in strict accordance with recommended guidelines to ensure adequate sunlight, air circulation, and room for optimal growth of chili plants.
Pest Free Fields & Monitoring: Our vigilant approach to pest and disease management has involved regular field monitoring to swiftly detect and address issues, employing preventive, curative, and biological control measures as needed.
GAP (Good Agriculture Practices): Physical control plays a vital role in pest management. We implement techniques like pest trapping, such as pheromone traps and sticky traps, to track and control specific pest populations. These measures help us target pests effectively while minimizing the use of chemical interventions.
Chemical Control Measures: We prioritize sustainability but use chemicals when needed, focusing on reducing environmental impact and protecting chili crops. We consider the impact on beneficial insects and aim for effective, eco-friendly results.
Drying of Chilies:
- Chili Drying: In the post-harvest phase, we pay close attention to chili drying.
- We ensure that chili drying is carried out in clean, well-ventilated facilities or under controlled conditions that mitigate the risk of pests and mold.
- Regular monitoring and proper storage after drying help maintain the quality and safety of our chili products.
Training to Educate Farmers: Farmers are educated and trained on IPM principles for both nursery and field crops. They learn to identify pests and diseases, monitor their crops, and take appropriate actions when necessary.
