Established in 2019, LTEC International Agriculture Development Co. Ltd. was founded in response to China’s transformative initiatives, “The Belt and Road” and the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).” These initiatives opened historic opportunities for agricultural cooperation between China and Pakistan, leading to groundbreaking developments in the agricultural sector.

LTEC is a strategic joint venture between Sichuan Litong Foods Co. Ltd., a leading enterprise in the industrialization of Sichuan fermented food agriculture based on “Pixian Douban” in Chengdu, and Sichuan Puji Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. The parent company, Sichuan Litong Foods Co. Ltd., is located in Pidu District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and boasts an annual sales volume of 50 million US dollars. With over 20 years of industry leadership, Sichuan Litong Foods Co. Ltd. has established a national-level rural cooperative in Gansu, China, encompassing an overall scale of 30,000 acres. The company has accumulated rich technical reserves, management experience, and perfect marketing channels across various stages from seed breeding to sales.

The Chinese Chili Contract Farming Project led by LTEC aims to introduce innovative agricultural practices in Pakistan, focusing on chili cultivation, to enhance yields and achieve sustainable development. This initiative not only fosters agricultural growth but also significantly contributes to Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings through targeted agricultural exports, further bolstering the country’s economic growth.

Our journey began with the selection of chili trial varieties in Pakistan in 2019, followed by planting trials in 2020 and small-scale planting in 2021. By September 2022, we embarked on the promotion of large-scale chili cultivation, covering an expansive area exceeding 16,000 acres to date.
